“My name is Lucritia Jones and I have been working towards financial peace for about three years. I have always had to budget while raising my children. Like many, I found myself in difficult situations, working full time, but a large portion of my wage going to bills and childcare, I turned to credit cards and store cards.

In 2020, I realised that I was spending a large amount of my wages paying the minimum payments and not getting anywhere. I decided to pay off each card (I did not know I was completing the snowball method).

However, in 2021, my health took a turn and my main worry was what would I leave to my children. I decided to make a plan to get out of debt and started planning for the future. Now, I have paid off my debts, including my student loan. I still battle with spending and by sharing my journey, this holds me accountable and keeps me in check.
